Doug Bumstead
Financial Advisor
DIRECTOR* | CFP, CLU, CHFC
Doug has been in the financial services business since 1979. Doug is a lifetime qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table. He has achieved the Chartered Financial Consultant (CHFC), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) accreditations. Doug developed the Virtual Benefits Model as a self-insured Health and Dental Plan.
He specializes in planning all aspects of your financial matters, including savings accumulation, retirement, estate, corporate structure, and business succession planning.
Taryn Bumstead King
Financial Advisor
DIRECTOR* | CFP, CLU
Taryn joined Bumstead Financial Services Inc. in 2012 after graduating from the Business Administration Financial Planning program offered through Conestoga College. Through this program, she completed her Canadian Securities Course, as well as her Life License Qualification Program. Outside of school, she has attained her Provincial Life License, her Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Life Underwriter accreditations.
Outside of work, Taryn enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also has a passion for traveling.
Jessica Birch
Licensed Marketing Associate
Jessica came to Bumstead Financial in 2017 as Doug's executive assistant. She graduated from the University of Guelph with a B. A in Sociology, and has acquired both her life license and mutual funds license since. Jessica comes from a banking background but discovered she enjoyed a more administrative approach to selling.
Jessica spends much of her free time with her family and enjoys activities such as teaching her son new things and cooking.
Maddy Giles
Marketing Associate
Maddy joined Bumstead Financial in 2024 as a Marketing Associate. She is currently working on acquiring her life license. Maddy comes from a customer service oriented background.
Outside of work, Maddy enjoys spending time with her many animals, including dogs, cats, and horses. One of her favourite hobbies is photography.

COMMUNITY INITIATIVE
